Had macaroni cheese for tea last night and now all I can think about is eating more cheese.

Hard to beat cheese all right, combine it with real butter and really fresh, white crusty bread, maybe a few crisps on the side and nothing compares imo.

I'm low carbing (thanks diabetes) but the joy is choosing different cheeses each week and eating without guilt. I do a little snack pot at night of cheese cubes, olives, walnuts and cucumber.

The tastier the better. DH likes mild cheese, the heathen, but he knows that I'll never touch it Grin

There does seem to be a common theme of things that are salty or sugary : )

Yes. Crisps. Any crisps but especially the crinkly ones.
But that only includes potato crisps. None of this nacho/corn/lentil business - abominations.

That'll be the bovine casein, an addictive protein in breastmilk designed to keep the infant (in this case, a calf) returning to it's mother's teat.

Have up dairy 5 years ago and do not miss it. Dairy cheese smells like manure to me now.

You've just made me realise I haven't had cauliflower cheese or cheese and potato pie for ages. little one is dairy intolerant but don't think it would taste as good with vegan cheese😭

Make it for yourself, don't miss out!

Devilsmommy · 10/08/2023 16:22

Might actually do that as it was a real favourite for a long time. Could make up the dairy free one for baby and cross fingers that he likes it ☺️

Mini rolls Blush

Won't eat / even think about them for a year or so then I'll eat 5 in a row. They are the definition of moreish 😂😂

TheDogsMother · 10/08/2023 16:27

Cheese definitely though also crisps or sultanas.

I also prefer pringles proper to Aldi Pringles.

It must be that ingredient.

Which is possibly crack.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 10/08/2023 18:36

Toast for me.

beachcomber70 · 10/08/2023 18:43

I was 11 when my mother told me new step dad didn't like cheese! I was astounded and often remember it and think how much he missed out.

I don't think there is a cheese I don't like.

I do love a shortbread biscuit, chocolate [darker the better]....and prawns!

WimbledonPimms · 10/08/2023 18:51

Cheese is disgusting 🤮

CharlotteStreetW1 · 10/08/2023 18:52

Custard creams. There's a double packet in the cupboard. Probably won't go near it for weeks but once it's been opened, I'll give it maybe half an hour before they're all gone.

longwayoff · 10/08/2023 19:15

Mark's and Sparks Cornish Cruncher. King of cheese.

tigger1001 · 10/08/2023 19:20

I hate cheese - so that's obviously not moreish for me 😂😂

But Jaffa cakes on the other hand....

BarbaraVineFan · 10/08/2023 19:21

Cheesy Doritos or other crisps. This is why I don't buy crisps!

PimpMyFridge · 10/08/2023 19:21

Mr Vikki's brinjal pickle. I'm slavering just thinking about it.
It's not sweet like most others.

Bonjovispjs · 10/08/2023 19:26

Absolutely love cheese, Tesco vintage cheddar is the best and baked camembert...delicious 😋

TyneTeas · 10/08/2023 20:58

For me it's definitely the salty and savory crunchy things that I find hardest to resist

This thread has just made me want a wider range of snacks though
