Trying to report a crime!

A while ago a random profile sent me a friend request. No mutual friends.

He's allegedly selling counterfeit money although of course that could be a scam.

Says he's in Belfast but that could be a lie.

There is a WhatsApp number on one of the posts.

I have reported all the posts individually as well as the profile, many times. Facebook keep replying that it doesn't go against their community standards!

I tried to contact Belfast police and got nowhere. They have an online form but I couldn't submit it as you have to provide an address where the crime took place!

I phoned my area police and they didn't want to know as the profile says he's in Belfast which isn't their area.

I phoned Crime Stoppers and they said counterfeit money is t a crime they investigate and suggested I try Action Fraud.

I've got nowhere with Actuon fraud as I've filled in as much info as I can but it's not enough so again, I can't submit it!

Any police on here want to take a look at it and report it wherever the hell it's meant to be reported as I'm not getting anywhere?

I think it’s probably a scam

Are they offering US Dollars? The Secret Service manage counterfeit USD investigations and they tend to be very on it if they are!

Otherwise, just use your home address as the location of the crime. They won't actually think you're committing the offences.

Does the Belfast form need a proper address or could you just fill those lines in with rubbish like 123 I don't know St

Alternatively put in the police station address & put in the section where you're outlining what's going on that you don't have an address for the person.

I've tried that and the form won't submit.

I still think scam. And if people fall for it, he seems to be making a good amount off it

I agree.

It's annoying that Facebook won't remove him.

Facebook are becoming very weird when it comes to removing posts…I reported a post of a naked woman with her fingers inside her. She was laid down with legs wide open and you can could see everything

but apparently it didn’t go against community standards HmmConfused. How?!

Yes they're crap. I'm always reporting the dodgy scammers that comment on people's public posts offering "investment opportunities" but they never remove them. It's relentless.
