You can only live in them 11 months of the year. Rents are expensive. They deteriorate quite rapidly, are too cold in winter and too hot in summer. If you have one on a park the contract often forces you to up buy after a certain period.

No that's a holiday home, there are permanent mobile.homesnwhoch are main residences.

I would avoid like the plague OP ,the owners of the sites are usually unscrupulous and can make things very difficult if you want to sell,I speak from experience.

Hi, I am living in Ireland in a mobile home. Its 13x38 feet. I have a 21 month and 8 month old! So 2 under 2. And my partner. We could no longer afford the rents so we bought this with our savings and put it on my grandmother's land. Temporary solution till we get a council house/can actually save enough for a mortgage.

Pros: it's very easy to clean, I can always see and hear my kids. Great lighting. Lovely connection too the nature on our doorstep. Cheap to heat. We use LPG gas. Rent free. This is a more modern mobile, the furnishings are just like being in a small apartment. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1 of which we convert age in too a storage room/larder.
Storage solutions can be very good in a mobile, they are designed with a lot of practical storage solutions. I like small living, we cut down on 'stuff' and it's worked well for our lifestyle.

We can move it, it's not a fixed home and if cared for will hold much of its value when we sell it.

Cons:
We keep our washing machine and dryer in an insulated shed that we built outside. Washing machines shake the mobile, which is very loud and damaging too the structure.

Mobiles built from 2010 onwards typically will last 40 years so they are not forever. They do require repairs here and there but they're generally cheap and easy to fix.

Cold and damp. Our mobile is a winter mobile so it's higher end but does not hold heat as well as a house would. We will need a dehumidifier to keep the damp levels under control.

Planning permission laws vary and can be tricky depending on your location and situation.

They are pricy, particularly if you want one to live in long term you would need to spend at least 30k pounds. Ours was 20k euro for a 2009 Swift model which was in pristine condition considering its age.

Storgae. As much as there is a lot of storage, there is no attic, so I have had to store a lot of things like used baby clothes and items that we don't use much in my grannies attic. So that should be considered depending..

Size. Like I say we have 2 small kids. We can't live here for a long time, the bedrooms are small, they will want to have more stuff and space to play when we can't go outside. hope to be out by the time my youngest is 4!

Hope that helps!!
