Bath doll that won't go mouldy

... does such a thing exist?

I'm not sure if it's because we use oilatum for her eczema, but black mouldy scum builds up in DDs bath dolls within weeks and I'm sick of replacing them! Most of her bath toys are solid plastic and come a part in pieces that you can clean easily. We don't have any of the squirty ones like ducks etc as I have seen the pics online of what builds up in them 🙈 I was buying a bath doll from sainsburys/Argos chad valley range that was about £5 and I didn't mind replacing it every few months as much although it's still such a waste, but I think they have discontinued it.

I'm trying to find a plastic doll with no holes in the mouth, eyes etc, or any limbs/head that disconnect. If water can't get in I don't see how they can turn mouldy inside. Does such a doll exists?! Any recommendations will be appreciated!

If you can't find one, on the basis that it takes a few weeks, then every week disassemble the doll and soak in Milton.

Every so often I would squeeze them out and then put them in a bowl of cheap vinegar, suck the vinegar in, shake and squeeze out into the sink. Then rinse. Vinegar kills mould.

DD never got sick.

Sorry, just reread your post. A quick rinse in vinegar every fortnight or so might be enough to keep them clean.

Thank you, I do soak everything in Milton every so often (have just done it all today hence the post 😅) but still find the mould needs to be wiped off it doesn't come away by soaking. And you just can't reach all the crevices down inside the dolls hands and legs etc.

I've been searching the internet for one that doesn't have any openings at all or parts that come off but I'm not sure one exists. If I had a clue where to begin I'd start inventing one 😂

You need to soak in Milton before you see visible mould.
