Anyone used a careers advisor/coach as an adult?

Would be interested to know if this could be helpful in assessing career plans/changes? Also for any recommendations.

Yes, some years ago, which was fairly useful, in that it confirmed I was quite suited to my field of work. And recently as part of my redundancy package. I'm glad I wasn't paying for that...

Disclaimer - I do work for them, but my colleagues are great.
