Post mastectomy gifts

Not sure where to post this question as I could find a relevant topic, but hopefully to put here in case someone has experience.
my sister is having a mastectomy soon and I want to get her some gifts to help with the recovery. She already has some practical things like a cushion and loose front opening clothes so I was wondering whether anyone had some suggestions of what might help or be most welcomed in this situation? Was thinking some magazines, books, pampers type things..

George do some amazing post surgery pyjamas with pockets on the inside for the drains. Or get a couple of fabric bags (you can get them specifically for this from Etsy) to pop them in when she is moving around. Good quality body lotion, good for the skin and good to massage in to reduce any swelling. Some scar reduction serum for when she's able to apply it? I know some people say it doesn't work but it can be reassuring to have. A good book, some nice foody stuff like cheese and crackers, chocolate. Things she can put together herself to encourage movement. Good quality tea/coffee. A Marks & Spencer voucher for when she feels able to look for bras? They can be expensive. Marks also do lightweight post surgery breasts to put in your bra until she can get the prosthetic ones from the hospital (if that's what she's doing, I know some women don't bother with them) Hope this helps.

George also do swimwear just fyi for future reference. Mastectomy swimwear is extortionate. Its excellent quality for a third of the price.

Does she have TV subscriptions? I watched a lot of Netflix while recovering. Also easy food like a Cook voucher if you have one nearby? Another option is a Readly subscription - a massive selection of online magazines. I think it's £8.99 a month.

What I would have really liked is someone who would sit and chat with me. My friends avoided me when I had cancer which was really difficult.

Drain dollies are the bags. I bought one directly from them.
Your time and support are the best things you can give her. So many people go into hiding when you're going through cancer treatment. Practical help is good too, if you're able to.
Food is definitely good. Things you know she likes you can make or buy.
Does she likes puzzles? I did a lot of Suduko during my recovery and treatment so had some books. If she has chemo, lip balm and hand cream as I got through a lot of both.

Thanks so much for the suggestions, they are great and some things I’d never thought of. And I’m sorry people weren’t always there for you, that must not have felt good.
I hope you are feeling well now and have recovered from the surgery (and other treatment).
