advice about this M&S pizza!

I have a chilled pizza from m&s says do not freeze. It is basil and mozzarella.

Can I cut it in half and cook a pice, then eat the other a day later? I would put the half in a sandwich box in fridge.

Or will even a moment outside of it's plastic wrap be game over? Grin

That will be fine.

My DH regularly buys I think exactly the pizza you're talking about (black packaging?) and the salami one which also says do not freeze and we freeze them! They're fine, we're never ill from it.

I am pretty fussy about food safety, but can't see any issue with that as long as it's within date for the second day.

Thank you!
I am chuffed as they are decently healthy and i love to load them up with fresh olives and peppers, garlic and chilli's!

I used to create my own but haven't time lately. It will definitely be in date.

The reason things like this say do not freeze isn’t usually because to do so would cause you harm, it’s because something in the product (for eg, mozzarella) changes texture when it thaws after freezing and therefore wouldn’t meet the standard for that particular product.
The other explanation is the product, or part of it, has previously been frozen therefore can’t be refrozen; but then the packaging should state that as the reason.

Ah yes the black box in an oblong shape!

Thanks, I had thought that. If i can refrigerate that would be fine for me so long as the date was long enough.

You can cut it in half while it's still in its wrapping, then just unwrap the half you want to cook.

will do, thanks!
