Podiatrist hurt me

I am lying awake in tears because I'm in so much pain in my feet.

A week ago I went to see a podiatrist about a foot injury. He told me he couldn't help but not before he had pressed incredibly hard on my feet.

Ever since I have been in increasing amounts of pain. Now it's constant and I'm so tired of it.

I know I can't change the facts of what's happened but I really want to at least tell him he's hurt me. My husband says no good will come of it as it's done now but I feel really angry that he was so agressive.

I just feel like a lot of these so called professionals don't listen and plough on.

Not sure what I want from this other than to be annoyed. Should I complain? It's private not NHS if that makes any difference.

Either he’s done some damage, in which case, you should make an official complaint, not just “tell him he’s hurt me”, or the increasing pain is unrelated to his actions and the timing is coincidental.

When he said he couldn’t help, did he make any recommendations of whom you should consult next?

If the pain is now constant when it wasn’t before, you do need to go back to whomever you originally consulted before you saw the podiatrist. There will be a medical professional somewhere who will be able to tell you whether the podiatrist has done any damage or not.

If you were already hurt it's possible he made your existing injury worse. You should get an x-ray and see an expert to rule out broken bones.
For the love of god don't take the pain and keep your fingers crossed it'll get better - this is what I wish somebody had told years ago, I'm still paying the price.
If you're crying in pain, there's your cue to seek proper help.
