I stumbled across a literary professor’s blog where she does analysis of the books. Not all of them, sadly, but enough. Have absolutely loved reading through them all 🥰

Love this!

Ooooh thank you! I've recently dug out all my old Christopher Pike books for my dd to read.

I hate that I got rid of all my books. I loved going to WH Smith and getting to pick one for my parents to get me. They loved that I loved reading. Thanks for this.

Wow I completely forgot all about these. I lived Point Horror and was always in the library looking for one I hadn't read (I had read all of them)

Loved them, spent a lot of time over lock down hunting them all down on ebay so I have quite a collection now! DS
11 has read a few of the PH which have been a bit hit and miss for him.

I have fond memories of travelling to all the libraries in my city to track them down as a young teen.

Thanks for the post OP, I've never read any Pike but loved the PH, Nightmare Hall and Point Crime books. Like @UpToonGirl I've been hunting down and collecting some old favourites. Trick or Treat is dug out every October without fail!

Understanding the Audience: Effective content writing starts with understanding the Content Writing target audience. Content writers must know their preferences, interests, and pain points to create content that resonates with them.

Goodness, I loved Christopher Pike and the point horror books. I used to use my pocket money and then my Part time wages on them in WHSmith every Saturday. I can remember smell of the new paper so clearly. The trepidation and thrill of something as silly as being the first person to break the spine of a brand new book. I still get his bumps doing it even now. Anyway, those books set me up for a lifetime of reading enjoyment. I still love horror, Stephen King is my favourite. IT is by far the best story I've ever read in my life and I've read it repeatedly and have it on audio book.

Ohh fabulous! Thank you

I’m so happy everyone loves it - there is nothing better than being a book nerd.

I started with Point Horror - The babysitter, The girlfriend, The boyfriend, etc etc. And then graduated to Christopher Pike, who was sort of my gateway drug to Stephen King 😂

I honestly feel like contacting the blogger and asking her to continue because she’s only touched the surface. We need more!

I literally could have written this!

I enjoyed reading those recaps. Some of the books I remembered pretty well but some of them I completely forgot about.

I had always thought when younger that the books were aimed at both genders however whilst reading the recaps, I noticed that the protagonists were predominantly female and who had an oh so dreamy crush on the cool popular boy so they seemed more skewed towards a female reader. Although this might have just been the particular books I chose to read from the series.
