I'm hoping someone can help.
Earlier this year I was successful in my pip claim and was awarded the standard rate which I feel is accurate.
My condition is physical but not visible (fibromyalgia) and effects my ability to walk on a bad day. On a good day I can walk ok, a bit slower than the usual.
Anyway, DH and I have found work is what is exhausting me and causing large issues with my condition. With the pip coming in now it's financially viable for me to cut this down. I've been signed off by my gp based on the recent decline in my health and will need and assessment for LCWRA as we claim UC.
My question is, what is the process like for LCWRA compared to pip? I found the pip process stressful but rightly so. It needs to be a thorough process obviously. My pip assessment awarded me points based on my mobility being restricted to 50m without an aid. This is similar to the LCWRA criteria. Will the UC people look at the pip award if I provide it? Is it likely they will say the same. I can't see one department of the DWP saying yes and the other saying no. But I find it so stressful under going these things as it brings home the extent of my disability in my young age. It's emotionally grueling. Please if anyone can shed some light on the process is be greatful. I've heard horror stories of the pip process but nothing of the UC process. Do they also do phone assessments or is it face to face? Thanks
