Apologies if already posted, but remembering a 90s nostalgia chat and impulse o2 being mentioned, they've brought it back out and available in Savers!

I was in my 20s in the 90s but had younger sisters who were kids/teens then as did my best friend.

We all used Vanilla Kisses, Spice girls impulse and Les belles de Ricci as well as our usual grown up perfumes and scents.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 28/08/2023 18:41

I loved O2!! I hope it smells the same, I remember it being really citrus-y.

Now I just need to find some Charlie Red!

Racingadmin · 28/08/2023 18:46

Well now I need exclamation! And body shop dewberry or fuzzy peach

Impulse Vive! The one with the 'Hello Mary Lou' TV advert 🥰

I wish they'd bring back Captivation in the pink can circa 1990. I loved it 😔

Don't ask me how I know but he was a beautiful boy.

I went to an all-girls grammar in the 90s and I'm pretty sure the overwhelming smell throughout the place must have been a heady mix of Impulse O2 and dewberry body spray 😄

😂😂😂

You can still buy Exclamation. I have a bottle on my dressing table.

CuriousPorg · 28/08/2023 19:02

This, charlie red, maybe some white musk or ananya from the body shop.

I have such fond memories of the perfume trial carousel at the body shop. Going out stinking of fuzzy peach and some bang on the door stationary for the start of school. That was winning in life.

icebearforpresident · 28/08/2023 19:06

I think zen was the one I like, I can picture a red and/orange swirly design on a cream coloured can. I think it had more of a spicy scent rather than floral.

I can vividly smell the spice girls fragrance right now, having not thought about it in at least 20 years.

Stop it right now!! I lived off Dewberry and Fuzzy Peach!

VanillaImpulse · 31/08/2023 23:13

Obviously as my name suggests I loved vanilla impulse!! Grin It was brought back a couple of years ago and I stocked up loads but was only temporary. I'd love it to be permanent. I also love Free Spirit which takes me back to 1992/3 and the ad did have a "Fever" soundtrack. I'd buy loads of that if it came back.

thecatinthetwat · 31/08/2023 23:20

Ah yes, and Charlie red too! We were so cool! 😂

"Let me tell you 'bout a thing
Gotta put it to the test
It's a celebration, motivation, generation next
We're sowing the seed, every colour, every creed
Teach, never preach, listen up and take heed.

Take the heat, feel the noise
Cos we're ready to fight and we're ready to go.

Move over, yeah, don't do it over.
Cos it's over, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Generation next
Next stage, next craze, next ?, next wave"

Spice Girls Impulse advert from memory. Probably wrong lyrics in there (i always thought it was generation Next but this was before I'd heard of Generation X), but I genuinely remember this from the TV advert they did, where they pretended they were walking around naked.

Ah, the good old days of adverts!!

Loved Impulse, along with the Body Shop gift baskets you could make up in store with the shredded paper that were all the rage at Christmas.

Paddingtonthebear · 31/08/2023 23:36

I remember having Impulse Fresco
And

Body Shop White Musk
Body Shop Ananya
Exclamation!
Belles de Ricci

Paddingtonthebear · 31/08/2023 23:38

And these two classics 😆

This was a Spice Girls song, from Spiceworld the album - I always thought it was on a Pepsi ad though?

I would give anything to smell the Spice Girls Impulse again!!

Redruby2020 · 01/09/2023 00:13

The Vanilla one a good few of us had at Secondary school.

Underminer · 01/09/2023 01:30

I also used to douse myself, along with most of the girls in school, with O2 or Free Sprit. I need some for nostalgia.
