Parking at St George's Tooting

I need to take a relative to an appointment at St George's Tooting tomorrow - am driving from a different part of the country. I can see from their website that there is parking on site, but can anyone tell me what it's like actually trying to find a space? It will be mid afternoon. My local hospital is a complete nightmare for parking and I'm wondering if I need to allow a lot of time to find a space. Thanks all.

As long as you leave yourself plenty of time to get there and park, you should be fine. I've only once had to keep driving around the car park looking for/waiting for a space.

And you can park in streets nearby if you really need to.

If your relly has trouble walking I'd park at Centre Court, Wimbledon and either get the 39 or an Uber. It used to be possible to park at the Sainsbury/M&S site at Merton Abbey Mills/Colliers Wood but it might have changed to a 2 hr limit.

It's fine until about 9.15. Spaces arise at 12ish as people finish their outpatient appointments. Visiting from 2pm so difficult until about 5.30.

The 493 takes you right into the hospital grounds, its terminus is the Rose Clinic. It's still 4 hours parking at Savacentre.

Idk if this too late, so for general information, but I think you get 15 - 20 minutes free parking if you have to circle the car park before leaving or are only dropping off/picking up

I think you do - I would drive in to the main car park, see if you strike lucky, but if not, then the relative gets out and makes their way to the appointment.

You exit the car park within the free period and park in one of the nearby side streets. They can also be quite busy; I find that going a little further south (s of the railway bridge) and it gets a bit easier

There is parking at the Sainsbury's at Tooting Broadway, but avoid! It's £50 for anything over 2hrs (always suspected it's priced like that to deter hospital users)

Yes ,unless it's changed recently that's correct.
