Tell me about social housing please?

I've been offered a flat, but can't view it until it's vacated. I'm just wondering what it's likely to be like, whether there'll be appliances in the kitchen, carpet in the rooms, whether I'll need to decorate. Anything in particular I should pay look out for?

I have appliances, but my cooker is an electric one, and I know the property has has central heating, is that likely to mean I'll need a gas cooker as well?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, I just don't know what to expect.

Thanks for replying. They're somewhere in between 😆 so they look like terrace houses, each set slightly back, but were purpose built as flats. Just ground floor and first floor. I probably wouldn't mind lino, in fact I was thinking I might go for lino that looks like laminate if I can find it cheap. Not sure if that comes as adhesive floor tiles. I'm not at all set on carpet, although would probably need a rug beside the bed and sofa if I went with lino.
