Party Bags

Hi I'm doing my first birthday party for DC3 (turning 4) soon. He's got 30 guests coming from nursery, a range of 3-4 year olds, some just turned 3, some nearly 5, as they are all in a class of two year groups combined and we invited the whole class.
What sort of things do you put in party bags these days and where do you get the fillers from? DC3's suggestion was Hot Wheels cars.
I'm tempted to just drop a couple of Lotus Biscoffs in each bag and leave it at that! 🤣
There will be cake as well.
We've only been to one party so far and it was a very (beautifully) elaborate and cosy affair for a handful of children!

Don’t do all those plastic bits, so wasteful. Just do a seed packet or small book, and piece of cake. I wish party bags wouldn’t exist!

I love party bags but roll my eyes at seeds. Annoying. Sorry!

Don't do sweets and cake, if you're going to do that just do cake. I have 3 mini packets of haribo lurking in my handbag I've swiped from party bags for DS in recent weeks. Yes it's a party but he's had sweets and often ice cream there, he's got cake to bring home too , there's really no need to add a bag of haribo to that, especially when it feels like there's at least one party a week at the moment.

Why? Just eat them yourself if you don't want to give them to him.

Is party food + one tiny bag of Haribo the be all end all?

@ChiefWiggumsBoy I don't want my 4 year old eating haribo, especially when he's already had sweets, cake and ice cream. I definitely don't want to eat them myself. Last party bag had a piece of cake, a KitKat, a miniroll and haribo after a party where there sweets galore. It's unnecessary.
There are lots of nice ideas on here for party bags, or just a slice of cake is perfectly fine, no one needs to go overboard

DS went to a party recently and was given a small pack of sweets and one of those lightweight footballs on a string that you can clip to your clothes, he was over the moon!

Thanks for everyone's advice! I went with the cars linked upthread, if anyone else is considering them, they arrived a couple of days ago and are reasonable quality and similar size to Hot Wheels. I also got a sheet of stickers each and a very cheap mini colouring book (£4 for 20), but I didn't buy any crayons/pencils etc as I am assuming everyone has those at home and that their own will be better quality than the cheapie ones.

Yeah I wouldn't have done seeds personally, a lot of people here don't have gardens, e.g. in flats or maisonettes.
