NHS Band 3- Maternity Pay

Hi everyone,

I work full time for the NHS as a band 3 and qualify for the full maternity pay.
I have spoken to my payroll department and they are unable to help me with a breakdown of what I would receive if I split my payments over 9 months.

Would anyone be able to help?

I work 37.5 hours a week
My salary is £22,816 per year
My gross pay for each month is £1,901.33

Any help is much appreciated!!

I have just submitted my MATB1 forms ect about 2 weeks ago.
Your payroll have to give you a breakdown over requested months.
I am also band 3 top of scale. I do earn less than you have stated but I pay into pension. And pay for parking so maybe that’s why.
I am expecting my breakdown in next 6 weeks so I can post mine if you want as I have asked for a breakdown for 9/10 & 12 months. in my head I have a feeling will be around £800 a month after deductions. But that’s just my guess. It’s so complicated isn't it?

Sorry I just seen you posted gross pay! Apologise. As I say I’m top of band 3 I can list mine when i get it if it helps? X

Do you still need a breakdown? I have one for top of band 3 spread over 12 months.

@Pippin2023 thank you so much!! I think I'm going to split mine over 9 months and try use annual leave to get the longest I can. My payroll are so unhelpful they won't give me anything until I've submitted the form!

Yeah I had to submit the form first. I just put down as if I was gonna take 12 months and then they also advised me of 9/10 months.
Majority of payments for 9 months for me personally are about 1500-1900 a month pre tax NI and pension. Not sure if that helps. X
