Is this wedding guest outfit too much?

I’m not planning on wearing this - I don’t even have a wedding to go to. But the comments on this were “I’d love people to wear this kind of outfit to my wedding” and for me I think it’s too much.

Are many of the commentators American? Their ideas of wedding guest outfits tend to be way dresser and more evening/ball wear than in the UK

I actually like it, not for a wedding and I can't actually think of anywhere it is appropriate for but it's a fabulous dress!
