Anyone else really enjoy looking at houses on the property websites?

Currently doing just that… Sitting with a cuppa on the sofa looking at all the houses that are for sale in my town… some really lovely ones and it makes me want to move!

I love doing this with various imaginary budgets. I also just love looking at tidy minimalist houses with none of my DHs crap cluttering up the place. I do love him, but my God he takes up a lot of space.

I spend hours on Rightmove, love being nosey and we live in quite a small town so I like to know who is moving etc Grin. Also look at totally different areas and fantastise about moving to a new location ... and I look out for properties I used to live in and realise I could never afford to move back to the South East. I love looking at the properties in North Yorkshire, they are sublime. I live in South Yorkshire, and it's like a different planet!

It's a well known thing! I have a rightmove habit, it's interesting to either fantasise about some (way out of my budget) properties or look at sold prices from old neighbourhoods. I also do a lot of research when contemplating renovations - I looked at almost every layout of houses on my street (terraced. Victorian) to see how they changed the design.

Don’t we all do this?! I mainly put in nearby areas for semi realistic searches in the future and then sometimes put in a crazy budget when imaging winning the lottery and what I’d buy 😁

Glad it isn't just me! I look everyday.

(I did end up buying my current house from my daily rightmove browse - I wasn't seriously looking to move at the time)

Lol. Yep, love it! There’s a lovely 5 bedroom house with 3 receptions, a big back garden, nice front garden and a big driveway for sale near me. A new build.

It’s lovely, love the open plan kitchen, the lounge and the sun room. Lovely bathroom and en suite shower room too.

Only problem is, it’s half a million pounds!! 😳

There's a house at the end of our road that, over the years, has had a lot of work done to it. It looked very intriguing and I often wondered what was behind the high fence. It went up for sale recently so I have had a lovely time 'wandering' through the property.😁

From time to time, I check in on the house we sold 25 years ago (it was our first house) to see what improvements they've made. To this day, nobody has replaced the kitchen we had installed. They haven't even changed thecolour on the walls. Pleased to know I made a very good choice all those years ago.

I buy a lottery ticket, wait until the draw has been done, then don't check my ticket for ages.
That way, I could theoretically be a millionaire and can scroll through the houses on Rightmove planning which one I will buy.

Hello. Are you me??? Grin

Looked at my old street a couple of days ago and saw a neighbours house up for sale. Must admit, I did think they could stage it better - crumpled bedsheets, untidy rooms etc. Didn’t think it sold the house well, which could potentially be a nice family home.
