DS is about to be separated from the beloved Xbox when we go away for a fortnight. It's self catering in France, we have some outside space and will be near the beach. DD 18 will happily read for hours, but DS has lost his reading mojo and we need some good games to play. We'll have Boggle, cards, Skittles, but we need some more to grab his attention and avoid the hormonal mood swings.

Also, for something less serious, Charades and the Rizla game

Telestrations is amazing!

Rummikub. Huge family favourite here.

More or less is good. Can last as long as you like, minutes or hours. And it's just a set of cards so easy to transport.

Gubs is a really fun, compact card game that is engaging enough for teens and Monopoly Deal is the most addictive card game I've ever played. I could easily play it all afternoon and I hate normal Monopoly.

You need One Night Ultimate Werewolf.

fuckthisprivilage · 23/07/2023 20:13

The Fluxx games as good too. We like the Zombie version.

purplecorkheart · 23/07/2023 20:14

Maybe pick up a couple of novels that may catch his interest in cases the games do not catch his interest. Might pick up mojo for reading.

itsawildwildworld · 23/07/2023 20:18

Kluster. It's so simple but incredibly addictive.
Bucket of Doom. Slightly risque, so teens should love it.
Get Bit. You gotta beat the shark...
