We go away in 2 weeks in a static van.

When we previously went it was pre dcs.
I remember buying Pegs to hang towels on the window airer ( was windy so draping them didn't work) paid over 5 quid for 24 Pegs that were honestly so crap i didnt bring them home. Worse than poundland! So will take them

Cooking we only plan to take minimal and buy meals out even if burger King etc i will maybe cook 3 out of 7 nights.
So quick pasta with sauce garlic bread
Meatballs or carbonara
Egg bacon chips

We want a quick easy week.

Apart from that i cant think what we'd actually need other than clothes towels etc

Chargers and leads, Bluetooth speaker, plus a couple of fully charged power bars, just in case.

We always take a pack of those sponges with green abrasive pads on one side - good for both washing up and wiping down.

I make a lasagne in foil carton then freeze it whole. Wrap in foil and use it to cool the coolbag from the bottom. Coolbag has all the stuff for the 1st day- milk, bread, butter, sandwiches for the journey.

Pop defrosted lasagne in oven on arrival.

The nearest supermarket doesn't deliver but its only an hours drive so ill go shopping that morning then its all in the car /cool box

Yes i remember no mat for shower.

And yes to foil the windows. Amazing idea! Especially the dcs windows.

Have listed games, purchased coloring etc. And kids will pack own small cases with toys etc.

Don't need to take bedding.

There's an asda 5 min drive so that's good if needed.

If there is a washing machine, laundry powder and a drying rack (otherwise there is nowhere to dry anything you wash inside).

If there is a dishwasher, bring salt and rinseaid as well as dishwasher tablets.

Non slip mat for in the shower.

Breakfast cereal.
Booze and snacks (don't want to be buying those from the onsite shop!)

We always bring an oven tray and a cheese grater in case the ones there are shit.

If you have wifi take Alexa!

TheModHatter · 22/07/2023 20:49

What will you be doing for lunches?

Take butter, cheese, tuna, apples etc for lunches? I bet the fridge is quite small so don’t over do the catering.

Lira715 · 22/07/2023 20:50

Cleaning stuff .. we went once and it was filthy, id packed cleaning stuff but was moved caravans anyway then DD went down with a sickness bug on 2nd night … bleach was my main essential that holiday 😫

Loafbeginsat60 · 22/07/2023 20:53

Bin bags - they usually give you one extra but you always need more

Sandwich bags in case you take sandwiches out or need to wrap cheese in the fridge

flatpack1 · 22/07/2023 21:31

Yes to everything already said especially bin bags. Also paracetamol and extension lead
