Anyone follow her on instagram? I'm a fan of all the stuff she's done in this area.

But What's going on on that page?!

There is a weird post telling white women to "do better" for seemingly not engaging with a video about black people and the issues surrounding pay gap. But I couldn't see a video and have only just seen it now! I couldn't engage as it wasn't there when I last looked.

Now all the comments have been deleted on those posts. What did I miss?

I wondered this too very confusing post

CantFindTheBeat · 22/07/2023 08:06

The post was sharing information on women of colour being even more marginalised in the gender pay gap than white women.

I absolutely did not understand what she was talking about. Seemed a bit forced to be honest.

They were advertising for someone to look after their communications a few months ago. It looks like they are changing direction, but it's a bit weird.

That is really interesting, and something I didn't know, thank you for sharing.

I can't comment on the rest of the stuff as I didn't see it happen or the bad comments that were left as they are now deleted.

It's an odd change in direction and I actually unfollowed her. Such a shame. The post about "do better" was too far for me.

There was an issue with instagram not showing the video in question. Perhaps that is why engagement was lower.

Also I think it's natural to get more engagement when it's something close to your heart or that applies directly to you. I follow lots of causes close to my heart but I don't have capacity to like every single post about every single issue.

I also think that most people follow that page because they support mothers... as a whole. I certainly do, black and white mothers, I read all stories and posts on all types of people.

The "do better" comment and what followed was not a good look
