I can't tell anyone in RL this but...

I've got to share my excitement somewhere!
Today, after 5 years of blood, sweat and tears I paid my last bankruptcy payment!
I feel so bloody proud of myself for dealing with it all after my husband died.
Obviously it's not something that I've told many people. I fact I think about 3 people know I had to go through the whole process.
Anyway, I'm happy that I free and I can move on with my life.

Anyone else have some good news to share?

Thanks for all the kind words. It is such an achievement to have dealt with it and paid it all off now.
And those of you who are dealing debt - keep going, you will get there and don't be afraid to ask for help either.

I think someone asked what I'm doing to celebrate? This weekend has mostly been ferrying teens around and cleaning but my boyfriend and I have booked a trip to Krakow for Dec. So we have something to look forward to!

Well done op, it's a great achievement!

I haven't faced B specifically but I have been in a very deep debt hole previously and the feeling at the end of digging yourself out of that hole is really amazing!

I'm not far behind you-i got into debt with council tax (long story that is 50% my fault and the rest was circumstances at the time)

I was almost made bankrupt myself but we worked out a payment plan

It's been two years of stress,budgeting like mad and a lot of tears

Come Sept,I can give that blasted payment card back and I'll never owe another penny to anyone

I'll raise a glass for us both

I'm so pleased for you

Some good news my end is that my eldest daughter is 6 on Friday! Where's that time gone?? :o
