Anyone else's school not broken up for the summer yet?

My Facebook feed is full of people celebrating the last day of the school year and heading off on holiday.

Is my kids' school the only one still ploughing on? Last day of term is Tuesday. 😒

For clarity, my youngest is heading into Y13 next year so thankfully this is the last time we'll have to deal with this shit.

Goodness, we've had 3 full weeks with 3 left.
And it's rained every single day with the weather forecast not looking like it's going to improve for the next 3 weeks either

We finish on Wednesday and go back on the 4th, this is to allow 2 weeks off in October. I prefer the shorter summer break.
We also break up on the 22nd for Xmas and back on the 8th for some reason!

I got my dates slightly wrong it is the 22nd we finish but still horrible! My kids need a minute to wind down!

My DD in secondary has finished, DD in primary finishes next Thursday but that’s because she had two weeks half term in May.

thats not true (not of all schools at least) my dc attend a Rotherham school and broke up yesterday. They also only had one week off at October and Feb

DS finished yesterday. He goes into Year 11 in September so he'll be finishing early next year but the others are in school until July 23rd next year.

Half way through here. Just finished our third week off. 3 weeks and 2 days to go.

Yep I'm in Monday and Tuesday

We should have finished on Tuesday but our headteacher added them as inset days. Thank goodness

Ds's primary doesn't finish til Friday, go back on the 4th Sep

Tuesday for us too, then back on 5th.

It was going to be Tuesday for us, but Monday and Tuesday are now inset days, so our son broke up for summer yesterday.

Also Tuesday- West Midlands but was also starting to think we were the only ones 😁

Ours is listed as Wednesday but they've had them as inset days.

Primary here is Tuesday, high school was Friday. It seems so late to break up. Many other schools have Monday and Tuesday as Inset days (still a late finish for the teachers).

It does seem a bit late. Mine broke up on Thursday and go back the 5th September.

We are at the half way point in Scotland.

This is really eye opening for me, I had no idea the holidays were so different around the UK. In the Highlands, our schools broke up June 29!

We've got Mon/Tues insets so basically the kids broke up yesterday but some of the other schools are going right through to the end of Tuesday.

Leicestershire is not too far away from here and they've been off for ages already (they break up early as hell)!

<waves> West Mids here too! We break up on Tuesday and then we (teachers) are back on Fri 1/9, kids back on Tuesday 5/9. We've also had Ofsted in the past few weeks. It's been a loooooong summer term I can tell you!

Erm, in Rotherham and no they don't, no they don't and no they don't. Are your dates referring to an academy school?!
