I had an interview for a dinner lady and ive only gone and been offered the position, woooo this job is so ideal for me with my children being in the same school also and across the road from where I live ! Super happy right now

Congrats OP! My DH was a dinner lady (or should that be 'dinner gentleman'?? 😅) for a while at a primary school. He was prepping the food (just basic stuff like chopping veg etc) and then dishing up, supervising the kids and tidying up after - about a four hour shift all in all. He ended up moving to a different job with the council (delivering 'meals on wheels') for various reasons but said that the dinner lady job was really good fun😊

I'm a dinner lady, I started when my youngest started reception at the same school and he's now just leaving year 5! I still love it! I also did my level 3 TA course so I'm a TA there too.
