WARNING BORING: BEST WAY TO CLEAN SHOWER SCREENS AND TILES

Yes, I know its boring, but I'm really trying to get better in the house. Recommendations for the best products/methods for the above please. I would preferably like a method which takes 5 minutes tops. Posted here for traffic, rather than on Housekeeping.

I squeegee tiles and screen after each use & don’t allow soap (only gel) as soap leads to a build up.
apart from that I use aldi bleach spray and non abrasive scrubber and find that really works.

Aldi bathroom spray.

just wipe with a microfibre, job done.

Fabulosa now has a white vinegar spray, use it on your shower screen, it's fab and it has a couple of different fragrances and it's £1!
I also use the fabulosa bathroom cleaner on the tiles, the disinfectant spray on the loo and floor, I love some of the fragrances, some are a bit dodgy.
They leave the house smelling lovely

Straight after a shower I wipe down the screens and tiles with a sponge then squeegee all the surfaces. The towel I dry my hair with wipes out the shower tray.

I wipe the screens and tiles down straight after the shower while it's still steamy.

I use a screen spray that's meant to not streak and it works fine till the dc have a shower and it gets globs of conditioner etc all over it 😡

Then I use a body puff scrubber with a fabulous spray foam and rinse and it's off in minutes

@choices23 I've always wondered about this - how much do you have to spray? Like do you have to cover the entire glass and tile? Or do you wipe it down like a normal spray?

If you sqeegee the screen and tiles after every shower you wont need to clean the glass all that much.

If you already have a build up then vikal limescale cleaner works well-will take a few goes to remove.
then sqeegee everytime-only way to prevent it.
If mould on your grout I find bleach scrubbed in with a toothbrush and left for a while works the best.

No, just sort of vaguely spray it on, and abandon it to do its thing, no rinsing

Every so often I use washing up liquid in a sponge with a handle and scrub it down with that, but the method spray genuinely keeps it clean

If you've got hard water and the shower screen is already going milky, a razor blade glass scraper and hot washing up liquid works wonders to bring it back to new.

A bit unusual but car wash with wax in. After I've scrubbed the limescale off, I use the car wash to clean and the wax stops anything sticking. Use a squeegee every time to clean the glass.

Very good, that's about my level of effort too! Will have to get some.

Once you've got it looking good again, train everyone who uses it to wipe the screen/tiles/controls with a old dry hand towel before they get out. We use a different colour hand towel and keep it hung over the enclosure. It doesn't have to be bone dry, just disrupting the drops of water seems to stop limescale forming.
I just turn shower off, quickly run the towel over and get out - I cannot remember the last time I had to use heavy duty cleaner on my shower.

Don’t allow soap? When it’s proven to clean bodies better..

Or you can just use white vinegar 1 part to 5 parts water and a drop or 2 of washing up liquid in a preused spray bottle - even cheaper. Works exactly the same. - Also stops the bottom of the shower becoming slippy due to conditioner

Magic sponges.

The easiest thing to clean shower screens with. No hard scrubbing involved at all. I'm a convert!

Came on here for inspiration but it seems the only real answer is clean after every use. No chance of such discipline in this house.

aldis bathroom spray. I can get away with once or twice a week. But I do, do it every other day.

But this works, no need to squeegee after every shower. Keeps it limescale free then I scrub and spray weekly.

I use fairy liquid and a sponge while I'm in the shower. I rinse it off with cool water.
I then dry off with a squeegee or a towel.

Hi, thanks for all these recommendations. I have only tackled the shower screen so far. I used a wallpaper scrapper, together with the white vinegar Fabulosa. It isn't perfect, but it looks a hell of a lot better than in did.

Depends how bad it is
light - cream cleaner
medium - white vinegar and washing up liquid
heavy - viakal and scrubbing!!
