If you are a side sleeper who carries most of your weight around your hips/thighs what mattress do you have?

Please help me

I cannot find a mattress that doesn’t sink too much around my hips and not enough around my shoulders, so I end up sleeping in like a banana shape no it's causing me so much pain everywhere.

I don't think memory foam is for me as I've tried several different types, currently not sleeping on a Tempur which is basically a £2000 torture device. I just don’t have enough weight around my shoulders and chest to even out the hip sinkage.

Anyone had the same problem and found a solution? Or maybe not had a problem but managed to find the right one straight away?

would love to read any of your recommendations

Oh god. Definitely not memory foam. We had a mattress with memory foam on top and I was crippled for as long as we have it. So much pain.
We bought a good pocket sprung, old school mattress from John Lewis last year and it's SO much better.

I'm a side sleeper and after 3 (expensive!) mattresses I'm really happy with the Simba. Can't remember the name but it's the most expensive one. Had it for 6 months and I've never slept better. I also now sleep with a cushion between my legs to protect my lower back

I've got a water bed. It's amazing.

We have a pocket sprung as well but the game changer for me was having a good firm filled pillow to throw a leg over. Cured my back problems straight away.

Love my gel silent night mattress! I am a pear shape and carry all weight on thighs, bum, hips. I only sleep with 1 pillow, how many do you sleep with? I find 1 pillow helps.

I sleep in the same position as you and have had the problem you describe with memory foam. I now have the Relyon Natural Supreme 2200. It has a firm-ish base mattress with a thick integral cashmere topper attached. It feels very soft but does provide support and gives me a blissful night's sleep.

Personally I would avoid Silentnight or their other brands list Rest Assured. They always sink in and give me a bad back. I'm not overweight. Poor quality mattresses that need replacing every few years... maybe by design?!

Eve original, all their mattresses are medium-firm and they often have offers.

Another one that had a pillow under my legs made all the difference
