Swifties, out of interest, who's planning their outfits already?

I may already have bought a sparkly dress and mirror ball earrings, and be considering diy-ing the navy knee high sparkly boots. Or maybe rhinestoned cowboy boots 🤔 and a diy Karma jacket if I feel like it.

I've just ordered heart sunnies and beads for sunglasses too 💖 I'm having more fun than the girls I think 🤣 (we do have tickets, I'm not just planning for the fun of it - although costuming is fun anyway 😊).

Have any of you started planning your outfits/any diy's yet?

@midnights0 Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince? The Joker & the Queen? Romeo & Juliet? Dd1 says Poison Ivy & Daisy but I can't see anyone's DH going for that. I'll have a think 🤔

@lucysmam oh I like the miss Americana and the heartbreak prince one!!!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 14/07/2023 22:34

@lucysmam

My Willow Cardigan Merch and a nice dress underneath

Stumbleine · 14/07/2023 22:39

Love this!

Though to be honest I was thinking I might just sling on my Paramore t.shirt (one of my favourite bands too), but you've got me pondering...

Feel incredibly lucky to get to see both in one night!

My daughter. She is eyeing up custom made outfits. Note: she doesn't have the cash after buying a ticket!

Youngest has also picked an outfit from SHEIN - I won't order yet as she's 12 so will grow.

Apparently I am to be themed as well. I kind of wish it was HS and I could wear a feather boa.....

Didn't TS have a feather boa at the end of the Mean video?

WOW

Did not know it was Paramore! Just checked my date

Much excite

lucysmam · 15/07/2023 00:39

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit I did not know there was a Willow cardigan! Off for a google, might need to make one 🤔

Dd1's looking forward to Paramore too!

I am trying to figure out what era to go for! There are so many good choices and so many lovely dresses for each it’s going to be hard to choose.

Also looking for ideas on how to dress DH 😅

Taylorscat · 15/07/2023 06:37

DD has informed me of this she has suggested sparkly silver trousers for me - which I am good with , I do need to lose some weight first ! I think she’s wearing the speak now dress. I’m currently bankrupt from buying the tickets (and going for more for her her mates next week 😬) so outfit actual purchasing will have to wait !!

Gizlotsmum · 15/07/2023 08:30

lucysmam · 14/07/2023 21:59

@Midnites go for it! I'm having so much fun looking around at alllll the things I could make 🤣

@Gizlotsmum there's no need for powerpoints here...I think dd2 would definitely be in charge of that if there were, though! Although then she'd get grumpy when we suggested deviance from her plan 🤔 then we'd laugh & she'd get more grumpy. It would not end well at all 🤣

@McQueensMuse we're waitlisted for Liverpool but don't need it now - it's a shame the not needed any more codes & waitlist places can't be released back into the ticket pool really, so more people have chance to get them. I can't see a way to do it though 🤷‍♀️

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit very organised! What will you wear?

The PowerPoint was for her brother and dad.. I am so in board ( if a little too old in reality, I am thinking reputation era, snakes may feature heavily)

lucysmam · 15/07/2023 08:58

@Gizlotsmum I expected dd2 to go for Reputation! She's quite into snakey jewellery atm - she's leaning towards Lover though. I could have filled my summer rhinestoning...something...with snakes 🐍

I don't have tickets but if I get them next week I am planning my own red slogan t shirt.

Eliza121 · 15/07/2023 09:08

My daughter is. Apparently me telling her "but we have a year to go" was a completely ridiculous thing to do Grin

lucysmam · 15/07/2023 09:17

@Eliza121 indeed it was a rediculous thing to do 🤣

Taylorscat · 15/07/2023 09:41

Reputation is a good shout actually, I’m going to have a look at ideas !

CornishGem1975 · 15/07/2023 09:52

Currently deciding which Era to go as! The dressing up is a major part now, loved doing it for Harry Styles too.

Freshair1 · 15/07/2023 09:58

I've got a long sequin t shirt in lilac to wear with sneakers. Comfort as I'm standing 😀

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 15/07/2023 10:15

I'm lazy so I'm thinking of the cardigan and possibly a Karma is a Cat t-shirt.

DD and I have tickets for Edinburgh. So excited! I'm not going to mention outfits to her yet, with almost a year to go she'll change her mind too many times!

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 15/07/2023 10:29

Though I have to say I am very tempted by this! Funny for me, zero embarrassment factor for DD having to be with me.

Maybe with some little cat ears.

Swifties, out of interest, who's planning their outfits already?
Frightenedbunny · 15/07/2023 10:30

Yep, pyjamas and slippers because we got put on the waitlist and No friggin chance of getting tickets.

latetothefisting · 15/07/2023 11:46

gogomoto · 14/07/2023 21:15

Sorry is that a thing? Last time I saw her I was in jeans and brought a fleece (Hyde park)

My main worry is parking, or rather extracting myself from the parking in Cardiff. Apparently people were stuck 4 hours later after Harry styles recently. Perhaps I can persuade a friend to lend me a boat if the tides are right, we live across the Bristol Channel!

From a cardiffian - DO NOT park in John Lewis or the St David Centre (the main car parks) although they are cheaper they are an absolute nightmare to get out of when it's busy particulalry St David's because it's a circular exit thing and if you're on the higher floors you've got no chance of getting out until all the lower floors are completely clear.

I would park somewhere like the NCP on Adams Street (about a 7 min walk from the stadium) - straight exit onto the main road so should be minimal queuing.

Anywhere slightly east or south of the city centre is better because the main roads lead to the motorway junctions north and west so 95% of people will be trying to get to those even if they need to go east to england - if you cut through splott/rumney instead of trying to get straight on the a48 (main link Road east) which will all be dead at that time of the night, you can then get straight onto the a48 at st mellons and then the motorway.

WelshNerd · 18/07/2023 21:53

Now I do have tickets, I've been recommended a lot of lovely beaded fringe dresses.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 18/07/2023 21:58

I have been wasting a not insignificant amount of time looking at every single item sold on Shein that has sequins or jewels or sequins and jewels and shakey shakey fringes.

It's a lot. A lot of things.

😀

Taylorscat · 19/07/2023 06:53

If anyone sees any sparkly or fringed trousers please post them here !

hoping this will motivate me to lose a bit if weight !

lucysmam · 19/07/2023 07:10

@Taylorscat how about looking on Vinted? Bet you'll find a pair there for not much, or, nearer to Christmas in the shops.
