Ie skin better, weight loss, less bloated ? Or anything else?

The only thing that changes for me is that I’m peeing constantly.

I drink barely any water. I don’t drink a lot of anything, tbh. My urine is pale, my skin is good and I’m rarely thirsty - so I think I’m fine.

NotAgainWilson · 27/06/2024 20:52

No difference really, if anything I now need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night in exchange for a decrease in sinusitis symptoms.

TeenLifeMum · 27/06/2024 20:55

I was going to the loo an embarrassing number of times including waking at 5am for a pee. Back to dehydration for me.

StormingNorman · 27/06/2024 20:55

Yes. Cleared brighter skin, eat healthier, more energy, less foggy. Just wish I could keep it up.

Hoglet70 · 27/06/2024 20:56

I've always drunk pints of water and I'm still fat and bloated!

muddyford · 27/06/2024 21:02

Skin generally better.

superplumb · 28/06/2024 07:54

Prevents headaches for me. It does nothing for skin unless your severly dehydrated. This has been proved numerous times.

TheChosenTwo · 28/06/2024 08:01

I drink quite a lot, I don’t drink anything except water (or alcohol of a Friday or Saturday night!) and wfh so usually have a pint on the go. Probably drink about 5-6 pints across the day. I’m quite active though.

HarimadSol · 28/06/2024 08:19

I tried drinking the recommended 2 litres of water per day, and it gave me a splitting headache. Drinking when I'm thirsty works for me.

OneOfAKind3 · 28/06/2024 08:22

Nope - I upped my water intake for a few months and there was zero difference to anything, other than I was visiting the loo constantly! Now I drink a reasonable amount (2-3 glasses a day) along with coffee/tea and that seems to be the best amount for me!

DeepestDarkestRiver · 28/06/2024 08:24

I don't drink much as I just don't tend to feel thirsty, but I made a big effort a few years ago to drink loads of water for a few months. Other than needing to wee constantly it made no difference in any way.

Edited

I am the same. I rarely drink water at all, never have. A few months ago I decided to try drinking several glasses a day. The only difference I noticed was that I spent more time in the loo, or desperately looking for a loo.

I have gone back to not drinking it.

It’s easy to check if you need to consume more water by looking at the colour of your pee. Useful if you are somewhere warm/humid.

Plump82 · 28/06/2024 08:37

Not at all. I've had 3 cups of tea and a cup of coffee since yesterday morning and I don't feel thirsty in the slightest. When I drink more the only difference for me is I'm at the toilet constantly.

frozendaisy · 28/06/2024 08:42

Yes drinking more water gives me more energy, a more balanced appetite, less dry lips/skin, better innards.

HairMb · 28/06/2024 10:47

@hastalav tea and coffee isn’t the same. Clear liquids are better for your urinary tract.

MrsSkylerWhite · 28/06/2024 10:50

I have a kidney tumour, not sure what that means yet, waiting for CT.
I’ve never drunk enough but have deliberately been doing so for the past couple of weeks.

Definitely less tired and weirdly my swollen ankles have improved massively.

Well that may apply to some, maybe those prone to UTIs or something?

I've never had an issue with my urinary tract and I'm 66! I have to say apart from keeping moving and enjoying life I largely ignore all the gurus who say one thing today, and another thing tomorrow that usually contradicts what they said yesterday!

Moderation in most things is a good approach I'd say. A little of what you fancy does you good. Too much of anything is not good and to me that includes chugging tons of water every day, because most of us don't need to.

Serencwtch · 28/06/2024 10:58

Only difference is I need to wee alot more often!
Only makes a difference if you weren't getting enough fluids in the first place.
