And it's been a good 6-7 years !
Travelling with a baby, we have got our hold cases and a rucksack type bag that we can take in the cabin, does a changing bag count as this ? It will fit under the seat in front definitely. I didn't know if we could have the rucksack type bag and the changing bag as extra

According to their website it says 2 free items of baby equipment and a small bag

Wimbo · 12/07/2023 06:43

Well what have you paid for? It’s pretty clear on your ticket what the baggage allowance is.

I recently travelled priority something or other. It included a 10kg cabin bag plus 1 other small bag that could fit under the seat. All dimensions on the website. I didn’t pay for hold luggage but similarly some people didn’t pay for 10kg cabin bag and would only have been allowed a small bag.

Website says no cabin bag for babies, just small bag that fits under seat (45x20x25).

Note there is a difference between 2 items of baby equipment e.g. a pram and car seat, and the baggage allowance. https://help.ryanair.com/hc/en-gb/categories/12503095332497-Travelling-With-Children

The two adults can bring on a small bag that fits under the seat in front. The dimensions are pretty small and Ryanair can be hot on this. So you can bring the changing bag and one other bag between you on board.

eurochick · 12/07/2023 07:26

Unless you have paid to take additional cabin bags, of course.

Alliolly · 12/07/2023 07:32

Check the website for the dimensions. I flew Ryanair a couple.of weeks ago. Rucksack is fine as long as it's within their (tiny) dimensions 40x25x20. And you are allowed a baby bag for free, which is actually slightly bigger, but only up to 5kg

Nope, baby gets their own bag allowance

soakinboakin · 12/07/2023 08:11

So we've got two hold bags for the adults and standard rucksacks for cabin.
X1 priority boarding for ds 8 so he got the 10kg baggage allowance plus rucksack
And for baby no allowance just the rucksack
I was planning on using my rucksack bag for the changing bag and then I've ordered a small hold-all type bag that fits Ryan airs measurements for babies clothing

This is the bag I got for babies clothes

So I mean I'm using my small bag allowance for the changing bag and then the bag I've uploaded a pic of will be babies small bag allowance

Ok I was mistaken. It must have changed since my daughter was a baby.

"If I am travelling with a baby. What is my bag allowance?

You can carry 2 items of baby equipment free of charge per child.
There is no cabin bag allowance for an infant (aged 8 days to 23 months). However, we allow a baby bag of up to 5kg (dimensions: 45x35x20cms), free of charge, for babies travelling on an adult's lap."

^from the Ryanair website.

So you can take three small bags onto the plane.

soakinboakin · 12/07/2023 09:14

Thank you. Yeah I think it'll be 3 anyway, dh will have his rucksack, I'll have the changing bag and then the bag for babies clothes which would count as ds small bag allowance
