Year 6 buddy

My son is in reception class and he has 2 year 6 buddies.
They are both so lovely to him and have really helped him settle in, so I would love to get them both some gifts to say thank you.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get 10yr old boys please? Budget around £20ish each.

Sorry but I don’t think it would be appropriate to buy them £20 gifts. A card from your son thanking them for being great buddies and making him happy at school would be lovely, an email to their teacher telling them the difference they’ve made and maybe a bag of sweets each if you really want to buy a gift.

@TenThousandSpoons Thank you for the response. I hadn't even considered that it would be inappropriate to buy them gifts, so that's given me food for thought.
They have both bought him gifts in the past so I'm a little worried they will do the same at the end of term and my son won't have anything to gift in return. My son is planning on making them a card.

I think a thank you card and chocolate would be nice. Most kids like chocolate and it will be a lovely thank you.

Dts school had this system, one got given bracelets made by the r kid and a tenner in a card, the other got given a really nice stationery set from paper chase. They both got the r kids a teddy and a card.

It's really sweet, they still see each other now mine are

My DC have given and received books, chocolate, soft toys. Probably around £10 spent. I think it's really lovely to buy them a gift.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

£20 is totally inappropriate. That's more than many people would spend on a teacher or TA gift. A thank you card signed by your DS and a bar of chocolate or bag of sweets would be lovely.

A book voucher, sweets, a cinema voucher, a Lego set, some cool pens/notebook?
