Any tips on improving ds speaking?

Ds just burbles his words out and I honestly worry about his speaking. Goodness knows how he'll come across in interviews. We all have difficulty in understanding him at times.
He's 15 and will never do LAMDA. Is there anything we can do over the summer to help him with his speech clarity?

I’m watching this with internet as my 11 year old is similar. I’m asking him to read a paragraph of a book aloud each day, maybe harder with a fifteen year old.

I find it hard to work out why mine is hard to understand, but I think it’s speaking too fast and then missing bits of words.

I’ve spoken to him and I keep just asking him to slow down and repeat bits.

Maybe it’s time to refer to Speech Therapy though, for us.

Thanks @CindersAgain sounds similar. that's a good idea. Ds is willing. Im actually thinking of elocution lessons but they're expensive. Might have to resort to it but it would be good if I could do something to help him over the summer.

Does he enjoy singing? If he does, singing along with music he enjoys would oblige him to go at the speed of the notes.

Get him to repeat things you find difficult to understand, slowly and clearly. Try recording him talking he may not realise how bad it is. Has he had his hearing checked he may not be hearing things clearly and then says them as he hears them.
