The ick

What gives you the ick?
I can't understand how people can sleep without sheets on their beds. I know people who have done this because they have washed their bedding and not bothered to put the sheets back on so they just sleep without them. Confused

I agree. My domestic standards are far from perfect, but I hate beds without sheets. It feels all wrong.

We have a coverless duvet (for winter usage over the regular duvet) and even that feels icky... Even though its exactly how it's designed to be used.

Honestly I'm not trying to be a smart arse but what gives me the 'ick' is the word 'ick' 😬

I have an irrational hatred of it as it sounds so childish, like something a 2 year old would say.

Genuine question, is it supposed to mean 'sick'? I've only ever seen it on MN.

I literally have no idea but I agree with you! I can't think of any other way to describe the ick than the ick 😂
