Center Parcs essentials and tips

Posted on another category but got almost no responses so reposting here for traffic!

We're going away to Center Parcs (Longleat) in just over a week with our two DC (2.5 and 4 months). I have been before when I was a child, but never as an adult! I am SO looking forward to it as have such fond memories myself and think my DH will love it too (he's never been). I am in list writing mode trying to think of everything I might need.

Please can you CP veterans please give me any useful tips or a list of things I should bring with me that I may not think of?

Also, we have a seat on the back of a bike for 2.5DS, and I've ordered a children's trailer, but how do we transport my 4.5 month old DD who can't sit up by herself yet??

Thank you!

Nuts for the squirrels and duck food from Amazon. You can feed them from your patio.

Dishwasher tabs, spray cleaner, and the MUST if you have them, suction blackout blinds.

Book activities and restaurants now.

Swimming bags for all your stuff. Empty old carriers for wet clothes.

Have a lovely time!

We take a collapsible airer as there is nowhere to dry swimwear overnight .

Here are my tips:

  • take beach towels for the pool as they charge you to borrow them
  • take buckets and spades for beach
  • book things in advance
  • take meals and food with you: the restaurants on sight are very average (other than pancake house which is great) and expensive
  • if you're using the cot they provide then you need to take your own sheet for it
  • the curtains are really thin so either take your own stick up black out blind thing or hang towels or a picnic blanket up against it
  • take extra dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid
  • there are no washing machines on sight so make sure you take enough changes of clothes as you won't be able to wash them
  • take whatever floats and things you might want for the kids for the pool. They have floatation vests you can borrow but arm bands or other flotation devices are worth it

The pancake house at Longleat was one of the worst meals we've ever had in a restaurant.

Buy disposable bbqs at home, they are expensive in the shop!

Bleach for toilet. Our toilet smelled like a man’s pub toilet - seriously!!!
