I'm talking the next 5 years or so and will the school system have to change to movr forward to accept that that more neurodiversityis being diagnosed, more technology, jobs that will be created to align with the future etc?

Only if the family can afford to have one of the partners at home, which is a trend I can’t really see happening at the moment.

Yes its already huge.

Interesting question. I have also wondered this.

I think it will continue to rise tbh. State schools are not up the scratch and teachers are overwhelmed. But with the COL increase it will harder to achieve for most families who want to. Whilst I agree with the UK allowing parents the right to choose their child's education, the system in place to support these families, and more importantly, the children, is worse than the state school system.

Home Ed has it's pluses but is only worth doing if you have the time and resources to dedicate to doing it well. If we did it, our children would be academically focused, not free range or forest schooled. I am aware that's not a popular HE style. In order for myself and DH to do this we would need tutors, numerous activity groups and spare time we do not have the money or time to supply.

I am intrigued to see what the Covid kids do when they become parents in regards to education.

I'm inclined to think that the COVID experiment will have put most parents off home education.
Although there are always going to be exceptions who found it actually worked better for them.

Yes. Home education can be amazing if a parent can be at home. You can get more done in 3 hours than is often done in a day in school. People with the funds who work that out and want to be home and do trips and follow interests will do it moreandmore.

I think it may do, particularly if schools continue to be treated in the way they are at the moment. The alternative will be Zoom schooling or massive numbers being supervised in a large hall.

I think there is a push from government to regulate home schooling more so I think it might become less prevelent.
