What's going on at yours tonight?

I'm a bit bored & am doom scrolling randomness (read as utter drivel) on t'interweb.

Dd1 has snoozed the afternoon away after prom, last night, and then meeting me with dd2 for lunch after my chemo this morning.

Dd2 had a training day at school but still got up with me & had a steady morning. She's also upstairs & potentially asleep - it's incredibly quiet down here!

Their dad has gone to get a shower & then play his f1 game probably.

I'll get in after him, then split the HUGE cakes I bought yesterday for "tea". I'm not overly hungry after lunch but have been looking forward to them very much & imagine Marvin (dd2 calls my stomach Marvin since the chemo steroids seem to be making me hungry!) 😋

I might finish my latest "when I'm bored of this one" crochet project later on & then read or just chill in front of the tv since we'll be out again tomorrow.

@gingeristhenewblack43 I hope your hayfever symptoms lessen soon, it sounds quite miserable 😢

@LucyWarlowsRightHand I'm managing quite well at the minute - nothing noteworthy in the way of side effects which I'm really thankful for. Just tired & napping in the afternoon quite often. I'm seven weeks into 18, so maybe it will change 🤷‍♀️

@WunWun do you use a specific recipe? Me and dd keep meaning to try soup with dumplings but haven't got to it yet.

@thefinaltwist I hope your ds feels a bit brighter soon. It's a big step moving from primary to secondary. I had dd2's class as my covid "bubble" when she was in y6 & cried as much as they did on their last day all together so it must be harder for them.

The cakes were lush, snickers was my favourite I think. And definitely massive enough to have split four ways rather than eating a whole one each.

DD18 has just introduced us to “this is us” we’re on ep. 6 and totally hooked, I don’t know how it passed me by originally.

Picked up my new prescription sunglasses earlier (I'm very excited about these!) had tea in town. DS2 now at Scouts and I'm just off to collect him. DS1 out somewhere or other and staying over at his girlfriend's house. DH snoozing on the sofa.

Got a really nice bottle of wine to drink, too.

It's raining here. Ddog is a bit overactive even though I walked her earlier so DH is making her run up and down the stairs for treats. I'm reading my new Mary Balogh book and looking forward to the weekend, work has been mad lately.

DS1 is in bed reading marvel comics.

DS2 is watching Gardners World with me.

I am watching Gardeners world with DS2.

DH is in London for work- coming back tomorrow and his hotel window opens up to a gril's school where they are apparently having their prom and have music blaring loudly and some screeching.

I and the Dcs have to be up early for swimming lessons, and fetching a birthday cake for a friend. So we need to be driving at 7.45.

I am having my second G&T

DH has worked away a bit this week so saw him at last. Cooked sea bass which he loves and then watched tv together. He had to then do some work so I went on my games console and did a mission with 5 other players including my DS which was a lot of fun.
