What would be a good end-of-year present FOR kids FROM the TA?

Not in the UK, so nothing very shop-specific.
I want to give the kids in my class (am actually a 1:1 but do help everyone as appropriate) a little something as an end-of-year present to show my appreciation - they are absolutely lovely and it's been a real pleasure to be with them these past few months. We have one more year together too, and I'm really looking forward to it!

I need something that is basically the same for all of them - 10 boys, 10 girls, aged 8/9 - so there's no having to choose and someone not getting the one they want, fairly cheap as I need to get 20 of them, but not absolute tat either - something that they will like and use/enjoy/think is cool.

Any suggestions very welcome!

Fidget spinners?

A book/colouring book?
Packet of seeds each e.g. Sunflower

When I was doing supply I got pens printed with,"stolen from ms sashh" because I lost so many. Something like a pen or pencil with, ""From TA ... " is useful and not expensive. Pencil cases or maths sets or similar that can be used would work too.

Actually, I've probably been overthinking this and yes, pencil/rubber type thing would probably be fine!

Bubbles
bouncy ball
pavement chalks

I teach this age and they love a fancy bookmark. I've given them ones with times tables on which have gone down well. Also magnetic clip ones with nice patterns.
You can bulk buy on amazon.

Personally my dcs have always preferred a little chocolate bar or something similar with a pencil. As gets used, eaten

Fidget spinners, bubbles etc is all a waste. Plus more costly

I'm a teacher but last year I gave the children a small notebook, a pencil, a bookmark and a small bag of sweets.

My teen still has the pencil with a message engraved from her favourite primary school TA. It’s kept on her desk.

The two best ever TA presents were (a) a pencil. I've never seen another one like it, it was kind of tiger print and felt like suede. DS2 adored it. And (b) a Christmas tree decoration with a picture of his face on it.

Your son's face? Or the TA's face?!

Haha DS's face, no the TA!

I normally put a little pack together of a notebook, activity book, pencil, rubber and coloured pencils. A couple of years I've drawn them as a super hero for a card.

thelongroad · 01/07/2023 12:34

These are great ideas, thank you! I've gone with a pencil, rubber and squishy ball (they are very "in" here at the moment with that age group) all with smileys/emojis on them, and will get a large bag of sweets to pass around.

I am saving the magnetic bookmarks idea for Christmas, they are gorgeous!

Just in case you didn't realise, this is a really kind thing to do.

thelongroad · 03/07/2023 12:04

Thanks, they are incredibly nice kids and I feel really lucky to be in their class!

That's such a nice thing to do!! My DD would absolutely treasure it for years and so would I.

I think, most kids love stationary or book marks.
