Legoland Reserve and ride advice

Hi,

Sorry I hope it's ok to ask here, I've googled and googled and can't find the information I want anywhere!

We're going to Lego land and are going to but I won't go on any rides so was thinking of just booking reserve and ride for my husband and 2 sons. But if I do that will it mean we're separated for large chunks of the day where they're in Qs and I'm off by myself somewhere?! I was just going to get the basic £15 reserve and ride

Although I can't see what you get extra for the One shot bundle so advice on what that is would be welcome too!

Thanks

If you don’t plan to do rides then you’re not going to be queuing for them so you will be separated for longer if they don’t have the reserve and ride passes. Or am I missing something? Buying 2 passes makes sense but if you do fancy doing the odd ride with DS then you can in place of DH- you just take his phone with you to be scanned. We did the £15 one the first time we went and it worked well. It didn’t make the queue go any faster but you didn’t have to stand there so could use the time for playgrounds, non included rides and shows. Last time we did the Ultimate as it was a birthday trip. We bought 2 so we took turns to ride with 6YO DD whilst the other stayed with the toddler. Whoever was riding just had to have the phone it was on (DH’s in our case) so we kept swapping phones.

assume there is still some Qing involved even with the passes, like you don't arrive at your time and immediately get on. And that without a pass I won't be able to join them in the Q?

So roughly how long is the Q if you have the passes?

If it's going to be ages I think I'll pay the £15 to be with them in The Q, but if it's only 15 minutes or so I'll enjoy a bit of peace! I 100% will not be getting on any rides to be clear!

Some rides you go straight to the front and get on next turn. Others, mostly the indoor ones, have an interactive bit before you get on the moving bit (if that makes sense) so it’s I guess still queuing although it’s immersive and fun but that does means you could be waiting a bit longer for them.

The passes don’t expire. They queue for however long then they’re ready and you can go at any time. You just can’t queue for a new ride without cancelling it until it’s been scanned by the operator.

A lot of the bigger rides are also set up for you to go in one way and out another so whilst I’m sure it’s possible e.g. I’ve seen toddlers escorted out of the haunted house after the scary into, it’s not necessarily going to be easy to queue but not actually ride the ride. Others, including a lot of the outdoor ones, you can literally chat over the railing. So I personally wouldn’t bother to buy it if I wasn’t going to go on the rides.

So to break it down if it’s helpful…

You go onto the app, having already bought your passes. You select for example the dragon rollercoaster and it tell you there’s a 30 minute wait which it counts down for you. After the 30 minutes are up you get a QR code so you go to the ride whenever you’re ready, could be immediately, could be in 20 minutes. Follow the reserve and ride signs which takes you to the front of the queue where the attendant scans the QR code and then you’re on next. At that point you can immediately start virtually queuing for something else.
