Festival survival bags

My daughter is going to a music festival over the summer. I have got a couple of cotton drawstring bags and want to make her and a friend a "survival kit" as a gift. I have never been to a festival, so could do with some inspiration as to what to put in them please. So far I have wipes, hand gel, dry shampoo, hair bobbles, tissues. Thanks!

I’ve just come back from 3rd Glastonbury. Things that made it all a bit easier:

  • Zinc oxide tape / compeeds for blistering feet
  • earplugs and eye mask for bedtime
  • lip balm and eye drops for dry dusty conditions
  • a little liquid soap dispenser on a carabiner (hang from bumbag for quick soap access when washing hands at toilet stations).
  • hear me out on this one - a female pee pot/urinal (I have an adult sized kiddiwhizz, highly recommend). Camping anywhere near the loos is a bad idea as they get ripe as the days pass and it’s the most annoying trek to make after a night of drinking when your busting for a wee and just need to go quickly.
  • a hat if it’s sunny
  • a small washing up bowl, 2-in-1 shampoo, a flannel and some collapsible water containers to keep around camp. Nothing like a proper wash - face, pits, bits and feet! Bliss! I never bother with wet wipes.

Hope that helps! :)

More snacks - like those oat bar or breakfast bars you can get.

tommika · 27/06/2023 19:19

Headtorch
Any allergy pills
Potentially a tube of sports electrolyte tabs to drop into a bottle of water

LouLou198 · 27/06/2023 19:40

Some great ideas, thank you! I will add to my list.

Would second the small bowl, water carrier and nice soap / shower gel to have a wash I the tent. Brilliant way to feel human.
Hand sanitiser.
Sun screen.
Painkillers.

Sanitary towels / tampons - so annoying to need these and have to find the shop.
High energy snacks.
Fleece blanket.
Clothes pegs and string / washing line. Weigh nothing - so handy.
Clean socks and underwear - new cheap ones . Again excellent easy comfort. 😊

flowertoday · 27/06/2023 21:36

Sorry wash in the tent ⛺️

LouLou198 · 28/06/2023 21:52

@Abondanza I'm intrigued by the cable ties and electrical tape! What have you used them for?
Thanks everyone I am off to get everything tomorrow.

Fixing random stuff! Cable ties can fix a bag if the hardware breaks. Electrical tape also for random repairs eg if a tent pole snaps long ways you can make do for the weekend, obviously gaffer tape is better but quite bulky.

LadyGAgain · 29/06/2023 08:19

Little pots of glitter and glitter glue
