I'm in Middle East.

Found in my bathroom this morning. I hoovered one up last week. It either resurrected from the vacuum or has friends.

I thought it was a silverfish but it has triangular wing(?) shape so Google says no.

I realize photo is shit but I was in a rush. I know it can jump a significant height, I don't think it flies, or maybe it's saving that for later. Vacuumed one almost evaded being suckeredShockSad

Will buy raid on the way home, but what is it?

Its antennae give me roach vibes and make me want to die. Bathroom is attached to my bedroom Sad

Body is about an inch.

I'm going away for a week. I don't want to come home and find they've taken over 😫

Does it have wings or are they legs?

NoClueAboutDecorating · 26/06/2023 09:06

Looks like some sort of beetle

Saisong · 26/06/2023 09:06

Looks like some kind of cricket

Saisong · 26/06/2023 09:11

Look up house crickets. They are edible if that helps!

garfieldeatscake · 26/06/2023 09:33

Bush cricket? Doesn't look like a roach, but some types of cricket have very long antennas.

BillyNoM8s · 26/06/2023 09:46

Perhaps they are indeed fancy legs though apparently house crickets have wings... I didn't want to get in his face what with the jumping and all. So I ran away to work.

If he is a cricket he can live on. Not sure I can catch him without damaging his incredibly long antennae, and there's no direct route from bathroom to outside without going via carpet...

If it's house crickets though, presumably I'm infested and they'll come for me in my sleep 😭

I won't eat it.

Unless you live somewhere with a lot of farm animals, the cricket creature is unlikely to be carrying any worrying germs. Pop the creature outside if you can - I'm totally Little Miss BugLady but I'm not keen on jumping things, I'll admit. Throw a cloth over it, carefully pick it up, shake cloth in nearest bush 👌
