Baby sick / washing machine broken - how do I sleep?

My 3 month old has been vomiting lots, pretty sure she has a sickness bug. My washing machine broke a couple of days ago.

To start with, we made lots of mess in towels and clothes. But whilst looking after her, I've been creating a bit of a system so she can vomit in a saucepan and I can keep her clean. I can see when she needs to be sick. I'm being very careful to limit mess on towels etc because of broken washing machine.

I've been encouraging her to have small volumes of breast milk at a time because when she fills up, it comes up quickly.

I woke up as soon as she threw up the first time. But I also worry that if I sleep, I might not wake as easily.

Any tips? Baby is currently sleeping on me and I'm staying awake. Do you think there is any chance of sleeping?

If not, then hopefully mumsnet will help me while I force myself to stay awake.

Any tips unrelated to my questions might help too! Obviously worried about her.

My toddler is sleeping at the moment, will wake in about 3 hours (hopefully). Then it will get harder but so far she is ok.... Was ill with a sore tummy a few days ago but was affecting the other end. Maybe it's the same thing.

My partner is in bed and was vomiting badly this evening. So can't help.

I'm yet to get sick.

How long has the baby been doing the vomiting?

I'd investigate dioralyte if I were you. Babies can get dehydrated fast, esp in hot weather. Call your GP.

Dear of her, is she still having wet nappies and drinking fluids?

Do you have a bath or shower that you can wash the clothes in with some washing powder/cleaner and hang out?

I would speak with the doctor due to her age as they will be able to advise of anything she can take.

I hope she gets better soon and you escape the sickness 💖
