That is all.

OP posts:

He's the Keanu Reeves of the music industry.

Yep. Love them both.

AngeloMysterioso · 25/06/2023 09:07

I was gutted that the FF set finished early though. They still had 10 minutes left, they could’ve played Times Like These!

DMCWelshcakes · 25/06/2023 09:43

That's because he's lovely. As is Keanu Reeves.

Me too! Have you read his autobiography OP? I couldn't put it down!

I listened to him reading his book on Audible - he can really tell a story!

Well I don't....runs/plods

Nor me. Imo DG is massively overated and leaves me cold. The FF's are a very vanilla, "safe" version of rock music. It does seem to be the current thing to comment on how amazing he is etc though. However, I'm sure he's very nice man...

Papernotplastic · 25/06/2023 11:23

His work ethic is frightening and he seems so happy doing it. He always makes me feel guilty that I haven’t sorted out the cupboard under the stairs.

Fudgewomble · 25/06/2023 11:24

I love him the most

Thecomfortador · 25/06/2023 11:36

He's like a human Labrador.

As much as I love Dave, I have to say, EVERYONE's 'work ethic' would be 'frightening' if we were all doing a really amazing cool job that we loved, and we were millionaire superstars! No-one has - or WANTS a frightening work ethic when they're a shop floor supervisor at B & M, or a crew member at McDonalds.

LittleBT · 25/06/2023 11:39

No one ever looked as happy at work as Pat Smear does on stage 😊

Papernotplastic · 25/06/2023 11:41

My work ethic wouldn’t be frightening. If I were a multimillionaire I’d be floating in the warm sea somewhere in the Caribbean, staring at my toes, trying to decide what colour to have them painted next.

Same haha. Of course it's a million times easier to work hard if it's something you're passionate about, but you can tell he's so grateful for the life he has because of his job that he works hard for the fans also- ie when he carried on with a broken leg. From his book you can tell the lengths he went to to support his career and spend time with his family; of course he's privedleged to have the means to do this in the first place but it does seem he's still pretty down to earth and remembers what's important in life to him rather than be blinded by fame and money.

NeedWineNow · 25/06/2023 12:07

Me too. He's the only bloke I'd leave DH for (although as he's a happily married rock god who live in the states I realise this is unlikely ever to happen 😁)

cookieandcrumble · 25/06/2023 12:08

Me too, he's a legend, and guns n' roses too Smile

is this available on kindle? what's it called?

KitchenSinkLlama · 25/06/2023 12:18

Foo fighters is the best live band I've ever seen. Dave Grohl is amazing!

FishIsForCatsNotDogs · 25/06/2023 13:11

Met the Foos backstage at a gig a few years ago. I can confirm that Dave is lovely as were/are they all.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 25/06/2023 00:25

Axl should have let Dave sing!

This!

Dave is awesome.

maranella · 25/06/2023 13:25

He's great - I love him too. I don't love all the Foo Fighters' songs though - some are really dreary rock songs without any hook - but others are very good. He's just a damn nice guy though, isn't he? And I love that he took the train too.

AncientBallerina · 27/06/2023 12:47

The Storyteller- not sure if it’s on kindle

grayhairdontcare · 27/06/2023 12:54

Meh ... he's ok.
He is definitely at that stage of over exposing himself. He was bloody everywhere at Glastonbury.
Honestly got to the point where I thought he would rock up to the opening of an envelope!

😂

I heard a story of how he broke a leg on stage (?jumping?), left the stage for a few minutes, then came back and completed his set.

As someone who broke an arm coming up to 4 weeks back, I'm revelling in the fact I still can't clean the bath, change the bed, hoover, or put the washing on the line.

Throwncrumbs · 27/06/2023 13:17

He didn’t just get the train though…he had the entire first class section for him and his entourage, so the didn’t just hope on and off like normal people. Lol
