I've been told by my neighbourhood officer to change my bathroom light back to standard. When I asked what that was she said just a pendant light.

DH said you can't put a pendant light in a bathroom? It's dangerous?
.
I need to do it by Thursday and she's off next week so I can't contact her and ask?!

If it was professionally fitted, enclosed and meets the regs then your housing officer is being ridiculous. You will have had 5 yearly electrical safety certificates checks too.

This doesn’t need to be changed for a MUEX to go forward.

They said it does. I removed their fixing so I need to replace it to standard.

@Punf as long as it met a the legal standards. If it was just the HO that said it challenge it if you can’t afford to replace it/don’t have time.

HOs are not the only deciding factor on these things.

It's standard and quoted on my exchange application pack that all altered fittings need to be replaced back to standard.

I feel I should pay to have it replaced because I took the original out.
