*Sensitive, Cancer Question*

My Mum has stage 4 lung cancer, and we found out yesterday that chemo is not working (she's had 2 rounds), so Doc advised switching to Immunotherapy. The cancer has spread further within the lungs, to the liver, and a lump on her back. However, he said the first appointment he recommends is in 4 weeks, to give time to get the chemo out of her system. Does this sound right/positive to you - surely time is of the essence when it comes to cancer?

Would appreciate your thoughts/experiences in this, thank you.

Hi really sorry to hear your Mum has a stage 4 diagnosis.
I am not a Dr but have lost several family & friends over the last few years.
I would guess that the immunotherapy & chemo drugs are not compatible & this would explain the requirement for a gap

Thanks @UggyPow , and sorry for your losses x

Mum has a pain in her stomach today, won't eat, and feels nauseous, do you think it's related to her cancer?

I’m so sorry you are all going through this. I think they probably want her body to recover from the chemo before starting the immunotherapy.
I know a woman who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which had spread, she’s now been 4 years on immunotherapy!

Thanks @MissyB1, that would be wonderful!
