Dental Work completed abroad...?

I have been looking at the back pages of the Saturday supplements and saw an advert for having dental work completed abroad, namely in Budapest, (but there were adverts also for Romania, Poland and Turkey.)

Has anyone done this? Would you recommend it? What are the pitfalls? The advert I looked said the dental work came with a 2 year guarantee, contracts in English, with flights and accommodation all included in the price, fast completion and "state of the art" facilities...🤔Is this too good to be true?

Google Turkey teeth. There are loads of horror stories.
I was following one poor woman on TikTok, she couldn’t find a dentist over here to even help her as she had been left in such a bad state they couldn’t begin to fix it, and those that said they would try wanted thousands. She was in constant pain, in and out of hospital on drips, swollen face, it was awful. She did finally have someone offer to help her for free but she suffered for a long time.

Cheap with fast completion? If something sounds too good to be true, it generally is.

'Turkey teeth' trend leaves Brits with 'serious dental issues'

The latest cosmetic trend involves flying abroad to countries like Turkey to get cut-price veneers or crowns fitted in a bid to get a 'Hollywood smile' but some are left with very painful complications.

Confused Thanjs for your reply and Wow!! I won't be going to Turkey for dental work. Not that veneers are anything I would consider.

I think I will stay in the UK for my dental work.
