Hi
My daughter is attending a dance competition which will be held at Langley Park School for boys.
We will be arriving by train and staying overnight.
Can anyone tell me which train station is the closest please and also which hotels are nearby (preferably a bus ride or walk away)
Thank you

Bit lazy! Would take you about five minutes if googling! 😂

Eden Park Station is the closest and under 10 min walking distance from the school. Right outside the station, there is the Innkeeper's Collection Beckenham, which is a 3 star hotel. Their rooms look nice, I once investigated for a friend, but they were fully booked at the time. They house a Tobys Carvery in their building too.

Yes Eden Park is the closest train station

It's on the Charing Cross line (last stop Hayes) which is handy coming from central London, also train passes through London Bridge, Waterloo East and Lewisham if any of those connections are useful for you

Otherwise you might have to stay in Bromley (couple of chain hotels there) and get the bus to the school.

Premier inn Bromley. By Bromley south station. Then 352 to Wickham way and walk down hawsbrook lane to the school. Or taxi there.
Or the Toby opposite has rooms as mentioned which is next to Eden park station.

i take it your not a single mum.

I don’t get to say “I’m useless about things like this” and certainly not this kind of thing!

good luck!

I am a single mum!! But mine are now 14 and 17 I have shit all sense of direction so the 17 year old usually drives but it's unfair to ask him to spend a weekend at a dance comp! Now other stuff on the other hand I am amazing at (or at least won't admit I am not Wink) after being a single mum for 10 years.

I think it's perfectly OK to ask for personal recommendations for accommodation and route. People who know the area might be able to say things like check for Sunday engineering weeks if it's x weekend, or 'my mum always stays there and really rates it but you'll have to park on the street', which is useful and reassuring.
