Terrible skin condition and nobody can help ?

Since 2018 I’ve had something wrong with my skin. It’s not confined to one area but when it occurs is often in clusters. I’ve seen multiple drs , 2 dermatologists and an allergy specialist. I’ve had a biopsy.

it will start with a pinprick red spot which is tiny, it then breaks and weeps a tiny amount of clear fluid, then becomes intensely itchy (I never scratch them) over the next 4-6 days each one increases in size to approx 6-8 mm very inflamed and the centre is almost ulcerated and green /yellow. Very ‘wet’ and ulcer like. This centre will repeatedly fall off in bath or shower and they bleed profusely. After about 10 days the itch stops abruptly and a completely flat very thin pitch black scab forms then they rapidly dry up shrink in size overnight and they leave a scar.

in the ‘active’ phase I get people asking a lot if I have chickenpox to give an indication of what they look like and the scars look similar although some leave a raised scar but most flat.

I’ve tried topical and oral antibiotics
steroid creams
lotions and washes (dermol 500)
antifungal cream

Allergy tests only showed the allergies I already know about and avoid those foods.

biopsy only showed ‘inflammation’

Skin scraping was negative for any fungal infections

My blood tests always show anaemia and raised eosinophils

Nobody knows what else to do , I look awful , it looks dreadful I currently have clusters on my arms and hands . I only use fragrance free products and I just don’t know what to do. Is anyone a dermatologist or does anyone have similar? It’s really getting me down

Auto immune? Lupus vasculitis urticaria, crohns can all cause rashes- with raised bloods - do you know your crp? I'd ask for a rheum referral

You could try taking some probiotics and perhaps some quercetin..research both and you’ll see why. Good luck

Are you being bitten by something in the house? Eg fleas or bedbugs or something?
Or is it an allergy to something you only have exposure to every so often?

Is it possibly shingles?

Is it possibly shingles?

I don’t think so as they don’t blister and it’s not painful only itchy
i had chickenpox as a child , it looks like when the spots start to scab over and the clusters aren’t really tightly packed together . I’m just so so fed up of it and nothing makes it better it seems to have a cycle of it’s own and nothing halts it at any stage

Poor you. Has pompholyx been eliminated? It occurs on palms of hands, soles of feet and sides of fingers. Having said that you’ve used topical steroids which haven’t worked, so possibly not.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=safari&hl=en-gb&sxsrf=APwXEdd6rLDq07qG2Ziiqftp0lT51NjTIQ:1686745144127&q=pompholyx&spell=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi-nZGp38L_AhXLRMAKHcwGBMAQkeECKAB6BAgeEAE

I actually get this and it’s controlled by steroid cream and it’s blistery which the other lesions aren’t .

Im wondering if there’s something I’m allergic to that I haven’t identified?

I haven't got personal experience of it, but someone I know has Hidradenitis Suppurativa, could it possibly be that? It seems to usually appear in armpits and groin areas but your description of it sounded familiar so it could be a possibility?
Wishing you luck in finding an answer.

I ask about shingles as people have said that it looks like chicken pox.
Shingles isn't always painful and everyone's experience of shingles is different.all that would help would be antiviral treatment right at the very start of an attack. Acyclovir I think is a commonly prescribed med but I think it can be bought over the counter.
It might be worth a shot for your next time ,you can have it ready and start taking it at the first sign.
I went to my gp with what I was sure were bed bug bites .how stupid I felt when she said it was shingles .
Good luck with finding out what it is .skin conditions are a minefield full of different causes, very hard to get a diagnosis.

I’ll try it as I’m desperate and willing to consider anything at this point . I dont even want to go out as it looks so horrible and I’m so embarrassed

So sorry youre going through this OP, sounds similar to what I had many years back and noone could work out what it was. It was awful, scaly round intensely itchy full body rash.

This sounds nuts but neat tea tree oil worked and actually stopped it in its tracks wherever I dabbed it. I think neat tea tree must be very strong (I think I used the one that is used for aromatherapy where you just put a bit in water and use as a diffuser). But it was a literal magic potion for me. Had to be neat though, not in a dream, or with water or anything. Nothing else ever worked.

*in a cream, not dream
