Strictly speaking I haven’t found out yet but I had an interview today where one of the women on the interviewing panel was doodling whilst I was talking. I don’t think it bodes well

There were three people interviewing me and, whilst I was answering a question from another, this woman was staring down at her pad and doodling squares and cubes, over and over. We were all close together so everyone could see.

Am I chronically dull? Either way, am anticipating a “thanks but no thanks” soon...

I find it hard to write notes sometimes in interviews because candidates drone on about something that's not what we asked them

I do doodle but try to hide it

I’m a compulsive doodler give me some paper and a pen and I draw boxes circles animals flowers etc all over it; it helps me concentrate. I’ve also been repeatedly praised for my exceptional listening skills and ability to remember tiny snippets of information and ability to assimilate information quickly.
I do appreciate it’s annoying to some people and would like to say I’d never do it at an interview but TBH I couldn’t guarantee this as I’m not even aware I’m doing it!

I'd be tempted to try and find out who the person was on the panel and how relevant they are to the position. If they were a "spare" then I wouldn't bat an eyelid about taking the job!
