I have just heard a profile of her on Radio 4. It was very clear indeed that they were pointing to something very strange.

She has been given a peerage at the age of 29. The youngest ever. Her working experience is similar to most people her age. ie. cobbled together bits of internships and maternity cover. Her linkedin profile work experience does not match other public records. The people who had worked with her who were interviewed for the programme either didn't really remember and/or could offer no explanation for why she would have been honoured. Researchers for the programme found that her wikipedia entry was drastically cut while they were researching. Her parents and siblings are not to be located on through internet searches. She was born 17 years after her parents marriage and more than 10 years after her siblings.

Most striking of all though, is what she looks like. Google image her.

I heard that programme too. It was done very cleverly to avoid litigation and/or breaking injunctions.

Realistically, Boris was able to keep the exact number of his children a secret for years. He has had affairs wherever he has worked. However, he loves money and power so there are plenty of other reasons why he might choose to reward a 29 year old researcher in a political party, including showing he can do what he wants or getting back at other people who had been working for a peerage for years but who he didn't think were loyal enough.

Profile - Charlotte Owen - BBC Sounds

The youngest person ever to receive a life peerage.

I would like to think that some enterprising journalist has ordered a copy of her birth certificate to do some digging?

HairyToity · 27/06/2023 10:10

She absolutely isn't Allegra Mostyn-Owen and Boris's daughter.

Windbeneathmybingowings · 27/06/2023 12:00

There is no absolutely anything with Boris.

Her birth certificate could be ordered but if she is adopted that says nothing about her real parentage.

StormShadow · 27/06/2023 12:32

I think shagging rather than kid, because he doesn't usually take this level of interest in his offspring.

Micksdottir · 27/06/2023 12:56

There are no injunctions in place in this matter. Injunctions are very hard to get these days and you have to have a darned good reason to convince a judge to grant one. Just because someone doesn't want something printed about them isn't a justification for asking the courts to prohibit it.

Very good point.

How do you know this?

Aren't there injunctions which prohibit the discussion of whether there’s even an injunction?

There is so little evidence for the merit of this peerage that there must be something dodgy going on.

CosyCoffee · 27/06/2023 17:06

If there was an injunction, wouldn't this thread have been deleted by now?

Kevinscousin · 27/06/2023 17:14

@BonnyNorton might have been your work history at that age, but myself and most working class people I know had been solidly grafting since 16 or 17. We can't do internships.

RowandRun · 30/06/2023 17:47

Find it really hard to understand why there is no media investigation or discussion on this truly historic appointment. Surely some background info and coverage, hell, even a short documentary wouldn't be out of place. She's done well, youngest ever. It's noteworthy even if it is legit.

But, nothing, nothing at all.

This is curious though

MushMonster · 30/06/2023 17:49

Good point!
Can we get rid of this peerage that the ex PMs can give away?
And their pensions for life?
Because they do not deserve it.
Even Truss got some......

ThreeFeetTall · 30/06/2023 19:20

@RowandRun the lack of coverage is very strange I agree

BonnyNorton · 01/07/2023 23:04

@RowandRun
there was a short documentary about her, a profile on radio 4. It was very careful not to openly accuse BJ of anything specific but anybody listening to it would be extremely puzzled as to what on earth had happened.

I am in my 60s. I can remember a large number of dodgy peerages offered over the years but none as puzzling as this. I am really, really saddened that there has not been open outrage. The only possible reason for this must be an active effort to cover the facts up.

As time goes on I become more and more embarrassed to be British and this is the last straw for me.

I heartily wish that someone braver and more influential than me would really expose this.

skilikeagirl · 01/07/2023 23:06

I read this is the subject of a super injunction…. Guess we will find out 😂

BonnyNorton · 01/07/2023 23:11

@skilikeagirl
if it were the subject of a super injunction then surely this thread would have been deleted. Unless it has slipped under the MN radar…

HideousKinky · 01/07/2023 23:20

Fififafa the wiki extract you quote says that Marina Wheeler became pregnant, not Allegra Mostyn-Owen

ThreeFeetTall · 02/07/2023 10:41

Doesn't parliamentary privilege mean that super injunctions can be discussed in the House of Commons? Bet people at Westminster know what's really going on...
