Airing cupboard to air clothes?

Do you use your airing cupboard to air clothes when you’ve dried them on the line?
Ive always done this / I guess my mum did, perhaps. I’ve just got a load of washing in from the line and was about to put it in the airing cupboard overnight and wondered if this is what everyone else does?

I do if I’ve dried them on airers indoors due to the weather being too bad to put out but do I need to if they have line dried? What does everyone else do?

We haven't got an airing cupboard and I do miss it when the clothes need airing. Instead I leave them on clothes horses until they are dry enough to be put away.

If they come in from the line dry enough then they just go straight away.

I wouldn't air them if they didn't need it, I'd save the time and effort.

If they're completely dry when you take them off the line then I don't see the need.

No I store towels in mine and luggage in the cupboard above it
Surely you'll lose that lovely fresh line dried smell

I don't 'air' clothes as such as I don't think they need it ( what even does airing mean ?)

But I do put them in there if they aren't fully dry, and things that can't be tumbled are dried in the 'cylinder cupboard'

Cylinder cupboard as it was named by the builders who couldn't be arsed to put shelves in there 😅

I’m thinking I’m just going to put them straight in wardrobes and drawers in a bit and save a job tomorrow. They are dry having been out in the sunshine all day. I just worry that waistbands and collars may have a little damp still in them. I used to sit next to a work colleague that used to small of damp and musty clothes and think I’m paranoid.

I frequently put our washing in there to finish drying if ether been dried inside or outside in autumn/winter/spring if not much wind. But been no need for last few weeks given the weather.

We don’t have an airing cupboard so that’s not an option. I didn’t realise people still had them!

Isn't the airing cupboard for towels , bedding , luggage and a travel kettle ?

Maybe just me

I don't think you'll need to worry about damp clothes in this glorious weather we having just now , hopefully lots of us I mean !
My washing was dry in an hour

I haven't used an airing cupboard for 25 years, because I haven't lived in a house with an airing cupboard since I was a teenager. When clothes are dry, however they have been dried, they go away. What does airing them in an airing cupboard do? I genuinely don't know.

I didn’t even know this was a thing. We have one, I’ve always wondered why it’s called an ‘airing’ cupboard given its not exactly airy 🤣

I keep towels, bed linen, spare blankets & luggage in it

I would really miss my airing cupboard if I didn’t have one!

but, yes, I will be putting the 4 loads I have done today straight away in wardrobes and Savin g myself some time and energy.
