Just that really... have had a double hip replacement and it is hurting like hell, have had my painkillers and they aren't touching it at the moment.
It's boiling hot and I just feel miserable... it's been a long long night.

I'm so with you! That might also explain why I've been having such vivid dreams (one being losing my surgeon's notes for his next surgical list in a dystopian London waste ground).

I confess I was told not to sleep on my front for a month but couldn't hack lying awake on my back after the first week or so. But, you're right, the night seems to take forever tossing and turning to find a comfortable position for a few minutes. It's exhausting.

Little hopeful update - managed almost a full night's sleep thanks to (I think) a combination of melatonin, magnesium supplement and magnesium leg spray at bedtime. Made a huge difference. Really hope it's not just a coincidence!
