Best trainers and flip flops for plantar fasciitis?

I know you´re not supposed to go barefoot or wear thin soles but I live in southern Spain and it gets bastard hot in the summer, so I need either sandals or flipflops with support.
I think I have plantar fascitis (sore heels on waking and after sitting) and am looking for some decent foot wear, any recommendations?

Thanks!

I wear Croc flip flops and have had a recent PF flare after last having it about 6 or so years ago. They don't seem to make it worse. I think my flare is from wearing broken walking trainers when taking the dog out after a day of gardening. They are so comfy but oh so bad for my feet now. I have bought a new pair which are how I remember them being (Karrimor Isla, but probably a bit too warm for your weather).

I wear sketchers flip flops around the house and actually their sandals aren't too bad either.

Asics with "gel" in the name. Be aware that they run small with their sizing.

Birkenstocks or Haflingers. My feet never touch the floor without one of those.

I've had it badly in the past, i think it was years of wearing ballet flats on city streets that caused it! Vionic footwear stopped it, and they do sandals and flip flops. Not the most attractive but not awful either! I don't get PF anymore. I hope it passes for you quickly, really stretching your arch out and hard massage into the arch of my foot helped too, as well as rolling my foot over a frozen water bottle when it was really sore.

Yes, (cheap) ballet flats caused it with me! I thought "oh no" when I saw they were back in fashion.

Archies have been a game changer for me, really comfy and last well. That, and shockwave treatment....

I've just bought some Salford Insoles. So far, they've been great. Not cheap, but can be used with lots of my current shoes.

Only Fitflops for me! It was the only thing I could walk on when my plantar fasciitis first appeared. I hardly ever have a flare up now and I believe it's due to their shoes.

I've got their flip flops, trainers, slippers, sandals and boots. I ordered some Ecco sandals crossing my fingers that they will be as good as my beloved Fitflops

Get some bjorkg sliders. I had bad plantar fascitis and was given a pair of these, I started wearing them round the house and my foot was better within weeks.
The website looks a bit dodgy and they will bombard you with emails but I jave three pairs now and they are never off my feet.

Another fan of fit flops. My PF didn't bother me at all when I wore them. Such a relief.

And off the shelf orthotic insoles in trainers. All closed shoes in fact. They feel weird at first, and your foot feels too high, but after a while, you can't do without them.

I got rid of all my flat shoes. I wear vionic trainers for everyday and brooks for running. I wear hotter and stride sandals (not groundbreaking but not too fugly either). I never walk barefoot. I wear vionic slippers too as I don’t think normal slippers give enough support.

I wear valsole orthotics in my brogues and other trainers.
